A very unique abstract photograph , almost monochromatic but earthy tones show through to give depth and intrigue. As with all of my images, very little post processing is done to create the artwork. I rely on my skills with the camera to bring nature into your home in a unique way.
Sticks and Snow was captured during a trip to Finland, we were driving the 4 hours from Kemi, to a town in the Artic Circle called Levi. The roads were lined with the most amazing forests, of course all covered in varying amounts of snow. It was like being in a fairytale land!
I just love trees, and can spend hours playing with the camera to create unique abstracts of them, so you can imagine how many times I made my husband pull over so I could create some images. The 4 hour drive ended up being quite a bit longer - the result though was worth it!
Printed large it makes a statement piece in any space.
