They say a red sky at night is a sailor’s delight—and in all my years spent sailing, that old adage has never once failed to deliver beautiful, calm conditions. This piece captures that serene moment at anchor, when the sunset completely claims the ocean. Stripping away the horizon line, I wanted to focus entirely on the surface of the sea as it transforms into a moving canvas of rich, velvet textures.
